To help achieve this mission we are looking for an experienced manager to lead the XR Devices engineering team. The XR Devices team works closely with our platform and device partners to build and maintain Unitys support for the latest cutting edge devices from Head Mounted Displays to Augmented Reality glasses.

This role is a combination of technical leadership and people management. The right person will attract develop and retain high quality engineering talent from new college graduates to tenured senior engineers. What youll be doing

Own and drive the near-term execution and technical strategy for the team
Collaborate internally with other core Unity engineering and graphics teams
Communicate your teams vision and progress internally and externally
Support the members of your engineering team as they advance in their career goals

What were looking for

Experience developing and managing a high-performance software engineering team
Proven technical knowledge and experience working with AR/VR/XR platforms
Demonstrated success in collaborating with external partners to achieve alignment on technical specifications and interdependencies
Expertise as a software engineer and a working familiarity with C and C#
Ability to assimilate and understand a large and complex software product

You might also have

Understanding of the OpenXR standard or a track record of working with open standards
Familiarity with real time 3D rendering techniques and graphics APIs including Vulkan
A passion for the future of computer games or real-time 3D experiences in a variety of settings
Expertise leading using Agile development methodologies
Experience leading distributed teams
