What are our expectations

P&WC is seeking an autonomous and accountable Quality Inspector to join our team in Mississauga. The successful candidate will perform inspections manage non-conforming products and participate in engine audits. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.

Specific responsibilities:

• Inspect rework and report on non-conforming products.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled production engine teardown audits.
• Visually inspect all hardware during teardown audits for non-conformities such as cracks nicks and scoring.
• Maintain a constant flow of material interdepartmentally and between plants by using SAP Quality Management transactions.
• Participate in the management of non-conformities and communicate P&WCs quality requirements to other departments.
• Participate in process integrity audits ensuring assembly processes and personnel meet specifications
• As required participate in the Spec Check of new production or experimental engine models

Qualifications required:

• A college diploma in aviation or engineering degree
• Two to three years of experience in quality inspection manufacturing or assembly environments
• Experience in the aerospace industry (an asset).
• Good knowledge of drawing interpretations and geometric tolerancing.
• Proficient computer skills including strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Good knowledge of SAP (an asset) and in-depth SAP knowledge is a bonus.
• Strong command of the English language both written and spoken.
• Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Additional information:

• This position follows a rotating shift schedule.
• Regular overtime may be required.
• The role involves regular interaction with various departments within the Mississauga facility and other Canadian P&WC facilities.
