Job Description
Our client an Am Law 100 firm is seeking a skilled Patent Agent with a minimum of two years of patent prosecution experience to join its thriving Intellectual Property practice. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the protection of innovations in wireless communications AI processor architecture and more.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with patent prosecution in the following areas:
- 5G Wi-Fi and other wireless technologies
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Processor and memory systems
- Image processing and RF front-end technologies
Responsibilities:
- Draft and prosecute patent applications in collaboration with inventors and attorneys
- Evaluate invention disclosures and assess patentability
- Respond to USPTO Office Actions
- Work closely with clients to develop and manage strategic IP portfolios
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Registered to practice before the USPTO (or eligible for registration)
- At least two years of patent prosecution experience
- Exceptional academic credentials and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Client-facing experience in managing patent portfolios
- Technical background in autonomous vehicles robotics natural language processing computer vision or wireless communications
