Key Responsibilities:
Maintain repair and overhaul heavy vehicles and industrial heavy equipment and commercial transport
Troubleshooting system failures.
Identifying faults or hazards
Responding to Work Order requests.
Providing suggestions for equipment replacement.
Writing mechanical maintenance reports.
Adhering to safety and performance standards.
Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment advising when certain components should be
replaced due to potential risks.
Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted including a record of any supplies ordered
and used in work order system.
Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and
more complex issues and to reduce costs.
Conduct preventive maintenance to equipment
Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
Perform emergency repairs
Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Qualifications:
Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate or a recognized trade certificate or
equivalency document.
A minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience.
As a condition of employment employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace
