| Duties & Responsibilities | PositionSummary: The VNPC Quality Improvement Coordinator will oversee the dailyoperations across multiple grants and initiatives with a primary focus on neonataland infant health. This person will be responsible for all daily operations anddeliverables as stated in the work plans for these projects ensuringcollaborations with all stakeholders and partners; working closely with all 49birth hospitals in the Commonwealth; and strengthening the data systems forthis project while working alongside of communities to improve neonatal andinfant outcomes. While daily operations for these funding streams are the mainpriority for this position there will be other responsibilities across additionalfunding streams to ensure successful completion of relatable deliverablesacross the VNPC. The person must thrive in a fast-paced environment demonstratesflexibility across diverse responsibilities and excels at managing multipleprojects simultaneously without compromising quality or deadlines. Thesuccessful candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of maternal andinfant health foundational public health principles and demonstrate clear andeffective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in projectmanagement quality improvement methodologies and the ability to developcomprehensive workplans for initiatives and health systems is essential. As amember of the Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative (VNPC) and Departmentof Pediatrics team the QI Coordinator will be supervised by the VNPC SeniorManager. This person will serve the VNPC as the subject matter expert of the qualityimprovement projects and ensure the daily operations and deliverables are metfor the grants that fund this position. This person will be responsible forproject design implementation of quality improvement projects in the 49 birthhospitals across the Commonwealth including current and future QI projectsworking across state agencies hospital systems and community partners settingpriorities and grant deliverables for the birth hospitals and members of theVNPC grantsmanship and managing grants.
