Picture this: deploying and nurturing physical servers steering virtual server realms being the guardian of disaster recovery strategies upholding the fortress of system security and even tackling those nitty-gritty networking tasks. Not to forget youll be the vigilant watcher over system performance and security while also having a hand in shaping future deployment plans swiftly fixing hiccups and keeping our existing systems tip-top.

If youre based near the vibrant city of Dallas Texas within an hours reach of our cool colocation facility in Plano youll also get to sprinkle some on-site maintenance wizardry. This is a 95% remote position near Dallas Texas. Candidates must live within 1 hour of the colocation facility in Plano Texas to provide on-site maintenance.

What your impact will be:
- Monitor identify problems trouble-shoot maintain update and continue documentation of an existing environment of approximately 300 servers (Ubuntu Server and Windows Server) including network infrastructure firewalls and disaster recovery mechanisms.
- Act as a technical point of escalation for customer support issues related to operating systems network communication and system performance.
- Deploy and manage monitoring tools Configuration Management tools and DNS infrastructure (BIND9 / CloudFlare) along with SSL certificates.
What we are looking for:
- Experience deploying and managing Linux systems.
- Familiarity with the OpenSSH suite of tools.
- Familiarity with Virtualization tools.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP Networking Fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Security Fundamentals.
What would make you stand out:
- Experience scripting in a scripting language (Bash Python Perl Go etc).
- Experience with Version Control Software (GIT).
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure.
- Experience with Configuration Management Tools.
