Coffeyville Regional Medical Center or CRMC is a 25-bed non-profit critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. The Housekeeper cleans all areas of the hospital by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms nursing units offices clinical areas waiting areas lobbies lounges restrooms and corridors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Routinely cleans patient rooms nursing units offices clinical areas waiting areas lobbies lounges restrooms and corridors as assigned
- Complete work assignment in a timely manner
- Utilize appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure with focus on safety
- Use and maintain equipment properly with focus on safety
- Transport trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area
- Replenish supplies
- Follow all infection control practices including hand washing techniques standard precautions and isolation precautions
- Cleans and maintains carpet and tiled floors by using heavy equipment to clean strip and wax floors on a rotating basis
- Observes safety precautions at all times
- Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy
The Housekeeper assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients medical staff and the public
- Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask
- Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
- Maintain regulatory requirements including all state federal and local regulations
- Able to work among cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as well as stand walk talk hear sit; reach with arms hands and fingers to handle and feel; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; taste and smell as demonstrated by passing Level 4 Occupational Performance Capacity (OPC) test and/or pre-employment physical administered by CRMC at offer required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- H.S. Diploma G.E.D. or equivalent work experience in field required
- Housekeeping experience preferred
