Job Summary

Coordinates the daily transactional review of compensation-related inquiries and requests. Evaluates new job titles and conducts ongoing reclassification evaluations. Advises on compensation levels for new hire offers by conducting thorough analyses to ensure they are both competitive and equitable. Participates in University-wide compensation competitive analysis. Activities include participating in third party surveys undertaking analysis interpretation and reporting of external and internal benchmarking. Coordinates special projects such as enhancements to the JDXpert job description database software and PayScale salary survey software; enhancements to current compensation processes; and evaluations of new compensation programs. Works in partnership with the rest of the Human Resources team to ensure that compensation programs are competitive in the market. Provides support for other compensation related projects including regulatory projects ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations through detailed compensation analysis and reporting. Assists in the creation and maintenance of compensation tools resources and frameworks.

Required Skills

Education: BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent related experience.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Skills:

  • Comfortable working in a broad role and undertaking a variety of activities.
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency proven data analysis and presentation experience.
  • Client service focus and strong relationship management skills.
  • High attention to detail and value placed on accuracy.
  • Collaborative orientation.
  • Appreciation for confidentiality and demonstrated discretion.
