As the Commissions and Performance Analyst you will be part of the Finance team focused on the full administration of D2Ls sales and variable compensation plan monthly as well as the performance analysis around inputs to the this role you will be a critical part of ensuring the successful execution of our sales plans and tools sales plan performance reporting and analysis around compensation as well as administering the monthly commissions payment cycles.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Process sales compensation calculations including monthly data collection and reporting auditing compensation payments submitting payout details to payroll and commission reporting regarding sales performance.
- Prepare and administer monthly and quarterly compensation statements and research and resolve inquiries from the Sales Team.
- Own administration of D2Ls compensation tool to upload monthly results for payroll administer changes and setup new users.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly commission accrual and deferral reports for finance assist in audit requirements on a quarterly basis.
- Ownership in compensation strategy planning and individual ad hoc projects and reporting.
- Administer the annual compensation setting process plans and modify the plan and configure systems as needed.
- Propose and implement improvements to support efficiency and effectiveness in the commissions process working closely with D2L Revenue Operations and People & Culture teams.
- Perform analytics to derive insights from sales and quota attainment data that will drive key business decisions.
- Monitor and analyze compensation results relative to sales performance via the compensation tool and PowerBI.
- Responsible for refining and building work instructions and process documentation for cross-training purposes.
- Responsible for the enablement of new hires and responding to sales rep questions regarding their quotas goal sheets and payment forensics.
What Youll Bring to the Role:
- 3 years experience in a finance sales operations or compensation role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to solve cross-functional problems while considering broader business impacts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling you to build strong relationships and act as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities allowing you to tackle complex challenges and make sound decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with a proven ability to organize and analyze large datasets to uncover actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Exceptional business analysis data management and analytic skills.
- Experience in a compensation planning and admin system is an asset.
- Experience working within Salesforce or other CRMs is an asset.
- University degree or equivalent in business and/or commerce
