Momar is looking for a Human Resources Generalist!


Momar Inc. a privately owned specialty chemical manufacturer based in Atlanta GA is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team.Reporting to the Director of Human Resources the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing the talent acquisition process administering employee leaves and maintaining the HRIS.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage the talent acquisition process by conducting full-cycle recruiting for all Momar positions including posting jobs sourcing and screening candidates scheduling interviews gathering feedback and extending offers of employment.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking to support competitive and equitable compensation practices.
  • Evaluate job duties and classifications to determine appropriate FLSA exemption status in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Support and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Track and report on recruiting KPIs such as time-to-fill source of hire and quality of hire to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Conduct 90-day retention surveys to gather employee feedback identify trends and support employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HR processes to ensure consistency compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the HR Coordinator and hiring managers to ensure timely onboarding of new hires and temporary employees; serve as a backup for new hire orientation.
  • Assist the Director of HR with employee complaints and investigations ensuring proper documentation and providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment by addressing employee concerns resolving issues proactively and advising management on best practices.
  • Administer the leave of absence program including managing paperwork tracking return-to-work dates and maintaining communication with employees and managers.
  • Partner with the Director of HR on benefits administration including annual open enrollment.
  • Respond promptly to unemployment claim requests submitted to the appropriate state agencies.
  • Act as the HRIS Administrator and generate HR reports as requested.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proactive and self-motivated with demonstrated ability to problem solve and think independently
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with employees at every level of the organization
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organization skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills including prioritization and follow through
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills including adaptability personal effectiveness and the ability to establish quick rapport

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or related field
  • 3 5 years experience in Human Resources
  • Recruiting experience is strongly preferred
  • PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint)
  • Solid knowledge of employment laws regulations and standards such as ADA FMLA EEO etc.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience is required

Physical Requirements: Sedentary

  • Ability to routinely lift up and/or move 10 lbs.
  • Frequently required to sit use hands and fingers to handle/feel items reach with hands and arms stoop bend and talk or hear.
