The University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene (UH Manoa SONDH) invites qualified applicants for one non-tenure track 9-month faculty position. The position is expected to begin approximately December 2025 or as mutually acceptable. Renewal of appointment is dependent on performance program needs and/or availability of funds. To learn more about the School go to: and Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned undergraduate and pre-licensure courses in the Department of Nursing. Specific priorities of need include adult health psychiatric mental health pediatrics and obstetric nursing.
- Participate in curriculum development activities as appropriate or assigned.
- Participate in didactic lab practicum and clinical settings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Nursing from a college or university of recognized standing.
- Current unrestricted RN license to practice in Hawaii.
- Minimum of one year of full-time work experience in the area of nursing specialty.
- Engaged in professional practice with a similar patient population and level of patient acuity where they will be assigned for the purpose of supervising nursing students.
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively provide clinical supervision provide student feedback and direct group discussion.
- Demonstrated professionalism in meeting and conferring with others.
- Demonstrated competency in interprofessional team work and team science.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience.
- Experience in curriculum development and evaluation.
- Certified or eligible for certification in advanced practice.
