Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to support our Maritime Subcontracts team in a hands-on role focused on subcontracting process improvements and procurement support. This internship is designed to give high-potential candidates real-world exposure to the federal acquisition lifecycle subcontract management and supply chain compliance in support of U.S. Government prime contracts. Youll contribute to meaningful efficiency-driven projects while gaining insight into negotiations price analysis FAR/DFARS compliance and supplier engagement. Candidates who successfully complete the internship may be considered for full-time Level 1 or Level 2 Supply Chain roles upon graduation and depending on degree level (Bachelors or Masters).

Key Responsibilities:
- As part of the Maritime Subcontracts team the intern will work closely with experienced professionals on tasks including:
- Standardizing and modernizing RFP templates and subcontract document packages for consistency and compliance
- Developing or improving tools and templates including:
- Clause description
- Risk level (Low / Medium / High)
- Acceptable deviations or fallback positions
- Clauses requiring legal coordination
- A Price Analysis Workbook for FAR 15.404 compliance
- A Quantity Escalation Model to analyze economic adjustments over time
- A Weighted Guidelines Assessment Tool to support profit/fee determinations
- A Terms & Conditions Risk Matrix outlining:
- Assisting in the creation of a flow-down analysis tool to ensure FAR/DFARS and prime contract terms are appropriately flowed to subcontractors
- Supporting the Maritime Subcontracts team in tasks such as:
- Drafting subcontract modifications
- Tracking deliverables and compliance items
- Assisting with negotiation execution and/or day-to-day management of subcontracts as required
- Collaborating with category managers program teams and legal to drive supply chain best practices and efficiencies
- Participating in internal meetings supplier discussions and government compliance reviews as appropriate
Required Qualificiations:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree or Masters degree program in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Industrial Engineering Public Policy / Government Contracts or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant coursework or experience in:
- Government Contracting or Federal Acquisition (FAR/DFARS)
- Cost/Price Analysis or Managerial Accounting
- Business Law or Contract Law
- Excel VBA or Power BI (a plus)
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Costpoint is a plus
- Collaborative self-starting and eager to learn in a fast-paced regulated environment
- Strong interest in government procurement federal acquisition or defense supply chain management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables formulas basic data modeling)
- Excellent communication analytical and time management skills
- U.S. citizenship required
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in California Massachusetts New Jersey Washington and the Greater D.C Denver or NYC areas is $20.50 - $41.00. The salary range for this role in Colorado state Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New York state and Vermont is $18.00 - $36.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
