Contract: September 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: 450480 per week (PAYE)

A school in Wandsworth is recruiting a Literacy & Numeracy Mentor to join their team. This Literacy & Numeracy Mentor role is ideal for graduates who want to support pupils in developing essential literacy and numeracy skills while gaining practical experience before pursuing teacher training or further education roles.
As a Literacy & Numeracy Mentor you will support pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2 helping them engage with reading writing and maths activities. The Literacy & Numeracy Mentor will work closely with class teachers to deliver small-group interventions support classroom learning and help prepare engaging resources. This Literacy & Numeracy Mentor position offers an excellent opportunity to understand how pupils progress in literacy and numeracy and how targeted support can boost confidence and attainment.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils during literacy and numeracy lessons
- Running small group interventions in reading writing and maths
- Helping teachers prepare resources and track pupil progress
- Providing one-to-one support where required

- A UK undergraduate degree at 2:1 or above
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Interest in education and working with children
- Commitment to the full academic year
