Job Description
Role: Medical Director
Contract: Permanent
Salary: FTE 84121 to 95400 dependant on qualifications and experience
Location: Cumbria
Were now seeking a Medical Director to lead our team of doctors shaping outstanding patient care and playing a central strategic role in our award-winning hospice. With the resources time and support to do things properly this is a role where you can genuinely make a lasting difference.
Essential
Education qualifications and knowledge base
- GMC Registration with a Current License to Practice.
- Inclusion on the GMC for GeneralPractice Geriatric Medicine RespiratoryMedicine or suitable alternative or be ina substantive experienced specialistgrade role.
- A recognised medical qualification (MBBSor equivalent).
- Evidence of continuous professionaldevelopment
- Understanding and experience of clinical governance
ExperienceSkillsqualities andabilities
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualificationexperience in a substantive specialistgrade role.
- Ability to take an organisationalperspective and transcend medicalprofessional boundaries to drive servicedevelopment and change
- Proven experience of managing &leading staff
- Proven experience of leading organisational change
- Strong persuasive influencingnegotiating and interpersonal skills
- Experience of working at Board level
- Ability to inspire the medical team andlead their development both individuallyand as a group
- Able to communicate clearly andconfidently on complex subjects andideas to diverse professional and publicaudiences.
Other
- Possession of full UK driving licence and accessto own car for business use or alternativereliable transport which ensures the needs of therole are met
- Able to support an on-call rota
