Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Data Engineer to join the Data Modernisation team. This role is critical to ensure the stability scalability and performance of our new age exception management system data ingestion and control logic infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in cloud-native data engineering and a strong understanding of financial data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design build and maintain robust data pipelines usingSnowflakeAirflow andKafkato support real-time ingestion and processing of fund accounting data.
- Develop and optimise backend services hosted onAzure Kubernetes Service (AKS) ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement and maintain alert logic and control execution frameworks including rule-based triggers and severity-based alerting.
- Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate control requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Support performance tuning capacity planning and ingestion timing analysis to meet SLA and audit requirements.
- Participate in incident triage root cause analysis and resolution of data flow issues across environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of experience in data engineering roles preferably in financial services or enterprise-scale platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience withSnowflakeSnowpark Apache AirflowKafka SQL andScala.
- Good to have experience working with Databricks DBT Java Spring Boot.
- Proficiency inPythonandRESTful APIdevelopment.
- Experience withAzure cloud services especiallyAKSAzure Functions ADF APIM andAzure DevOps.
- Familiarity with GitHub CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
- Understanding of data quality lineage and governance principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced agile environment.
