What You Will Be Doing:
In this role you will serve as a vital point of contact and support for individuals across Alaska helping them navigate and access essential services through programs such as Community First Choice (CFC) Personal Care Services (PCS) Medicaid Waiver and General Relief. Youll be responsible for reviewing and processing applications and screenings ensuring accuracy and timeliness while responding to inquiries from SDS assessors providers agencies staff and clients using the Harmony data system.

Your work will involve providing paraprofessional assistance under general direction supporting professionals who manage and administer these programs and offering clear informed guidance to the public. Youll research statutes regulations and policies to determine their relevance to the services you support and may also take on lead worker responsibilities helping to guide and mentor others while maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Mission and Values/Culture:
The Research and Analysis Unit provides information research and analysis products to State and national stakeholders including representatives of the Division of Senior and Disabilities Services(SDS) and the Department of Health. The unit specializes in business process development and diagramming data maintenance statistical analysis report writing and publishing account management for Harmony database users and training associated with the use of SDS data systems and processes.

As an Information Technology (IT) liaison the unit advises the division on technical developments and collaborates with the Department of Health and Enterprise Technology Services on a variety of projects.
