This is a full-time position working in a collaborative group practice of ObGyns CNMs and APPs.

At least one year of practice experience is preferred. New grads with at least 3 years of L&D RN experience will be considered.

Compensation: Minimum: $130461.00 - Maximum: $176947.00

Position Summary

A Certified Nurse Midwife is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who specializes in womens reproductive health and childbirth. CNMs provide care throughout the lifespan with a focus on pregnancy labor and delivery postpartum care and general gynecological services.

Responsibilities

  • Provideprenatal intrapartum and postpartum careto women and their newborns.
  • Conductroutine gynecological exams including Pap smears and breast exams.
  • Offerfamily planning servicesand contraceptive counseling.
  • Assist withlabor and delivery including natural and medically assisted births.
  • Monitor thehealth of mother and babyduring and after childbirth.
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Collaborate with OB-GYNs pediatricians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients onreproductive health childbirth preparation and newborn care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailedmedical records.
  • Advocate forholistic patient-centered careand support maternal mental health

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licenseandAdvanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)license in Washington State.
  • Successful completion of an American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)-accredited nurse-midwifery program
  • Current active certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (or its predecessor the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) Certification Council) or be actively seeking initial certification and obtain the same on the first examination for which he or she is eligible
  • Clinical experience inobstetrics gynecology or womens health.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and decision-making skills.
  • DEA NPI & Prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package including competitive salary medical dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $130461.00 - $176947.00 USD. However pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants including but not limited to: skill set level of experience and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicants years of experience align.
