Senior Network Engineer Remote (Within driving distance of Annapolis, MD)

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to support and maintain IT infrastructure across multiple statewide locations. This role involves configuring deploying and troubleshooting hardware software and network systems while ensuring secure reliable connectivity and compliance with organizational requirements. The engineer will collaborate with staff contractors and state agencies to deliver effective IT solutions and technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install configure and maintain servers workstations storage devices printers scanners network hardware cabling and LAN/WAN infrastructure.

• Deploy and integrate new state-procured hardware/software create/restore workstation images and troubleshoot connectivity hardware and software issues.

• Monitor and analyze network performance conduct diagnostics manage backups and implement upgrades or corrective actions to optimize efficiency security and reliability.

• Design and manage disaster recovery site replication backup processes and business continuity solutions.

• Support and enhance thewebsite applications and email systems while ensuring compliance with state requirements.

• Provide secure remote access solutions for troubleshooting file transfers and collaboration with state agencies; deliver on-site and remote technical support statewide.

• Offer expert technical guidance on IT direction infrastructure improvements procurement recommendations and system integration with other contractors or agencies.

• Assist with day-to-day operational tasks such as file restores print configurations and volume management.

Qualifications

• 10 years experience in providing application development support in a multi-user LAN-based Microsoft Windows environment.
• 5years experience with Amazon Web Services / backups
• 10 years experience installing configuring and supporting Microsoft Windows 7/10Pro Office 2013-2019 and Office 365 cloud services.
• 5 years experience providing remote and on-site support of hardware and packaged software over a WAN.
• 5 years experience designing installing configuring operating managing and troubleshooting problems on a WAN consisting of Cisco routers and switches.
• 5 years experience installing configuring operating managing and troubleshooting problems with the Highview Imaging Application
• 5years experience in providing help desk/application support services to a minimum of 300 users.
