Job Summary

Job Title: Part-Time Boys Basketball Head Coach (Grades 68)

Job Summary
The Part-Time Boys Basketball Head Coach is responsible for leading the middle school boys basketball program for grades 68. The coach will provide instruction mentorship and leadership to student-athletes while promoting skill development teamwork and sportsmanship. This role requires prior coaching experience a strong knowledge of the game and the ability to create a positive and supportive environment for players.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct structured practices that emphasize fundamental skills strategy teamwork and character development.

Manage games effectively while modeling and reinforcing positive behavior.

Supervise student-athletes during practices and games to ensure safety and well-being.

Foster a culture of respect responsibility and sportsmanship on and off the court.

Attend all practices and games during the season.

Requirements

Prior basketball coaching experience required; playing experience preferred.

Strong understanding of basketball rules strategies and player development.

Ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes parents and staff.

Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Availability for practices and games throughout the season.

Season Details

Duration: Late October through late January.

Schedule: Practices Monday through Friday.

Breaks: No practices or games during exams or holiday break (approximately December 11January 5).
