Job Summary
Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a well-established construction firm seeking an Interim Controller to join their team on a contract basis.This is an urgent need due to a leadership transition and the CFO is eager to bring on a strategic partner to lead the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Accounting team across AP AR payroll job costing and compliance.
- Prepare and analyze multi-entity financial statements and performance metrics.
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies internal controls and banking protocols.
- Oversee payroll reporting and multi-jurisdictional tax/license compliance.
- Support capital investment decisions insurance pricing and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
- Drive process improvements and digital transformation within the department.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Business Administration or related field.
- 10 years of accounting experience ideally in public accounting andwith a general contractor.
- CPA certification or eligibility strongly preferred.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Expertise inSage 300 / TimberlineandTexturapayment systems a plus.
- Advanced proficiency inExceland Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication analytical and customer service skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced paperless environment.
