Job Summary
Roblox is looking for an AudioVisual Engineer that will assist in planning company AV events and managing AV applications equipment and processes. Collaborating with teams like Events Facilities and Executive Business Partners this role will support all small to large scale AV events. This role will provide excellent customer service and offer insights on AV technology architecture and governance to improve self service and efficiency. This full-time onsite (5 days/week) position requires solid tech training or at least 2 years of experience in a similar AV support role and presents a great opportunity to join a growing team and shape the Audiovisual function at Roblox.
You will:
- Design and implement AV solutions: Plan and execute AV setups for a variety of events including meetings conferences presentations and live streams.
- Provide exceptional technical support: Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues onsite offering timely and effective solutions to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage AV infrastructure: Maintain and optimize AV equipment systems and software ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning optimally.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Partner with Events Facilities IT and other teams to deliver seamless AV experiences.
- Champion self-service AV: Develop and implement strategies to empower Roblox employees to utilize AV tools and resources effectively.
- Stay ahead of the curve: Research and recommend new AV technologies and trends to enhance Robloxs capabilities.
You have:
- Proven Expertise: 2 years of experience in a similar AV support role demonstrating a strong understanding of AV principles and best practices.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with a wide range of AV equipment including digital audio consoles cameras microphones projectors and control systems (e.g. Crestron Extron Biamp).
- Video Conferencing Mastery: Advanced knowledge of video conferencing platforms (Zoom Google Meet Microsoft Teams) and the ability to troubleshoot related issues effectively.
- Strong Troubleshooting Skills: A curiosity about identifying and resolving technical issues with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
- Excellent Communication: The ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer Service Focus: A commitment to providing outstanding service and support ensuring a positive user experience.
- Experienced in troubleshooting AV Systems - All-in-one video bars DSPs and VC platforms like Zoom Teams and Google Meet.
- Interested in learning how to improve the user experience around everything related to AV. From the room design audio quality and the interaction with the VC platforms
