Senior Process & Dust Safety Consultant (Remote)

Overview:

This fully remote opportunity allows you to remain where you currently live while traveling to both established and new clients nationwide (travel is expected to range from 10-30% typically involving 2-3 business day trips 1-2 times per month). In this role youll support a diverse range of manufacturing industries including food chemical pharmaceutical and more. The company is seeking an engineer with strong expertise in combustible dust and dust hazard analysis (DHA) safety. As part of a regional engineering team you will:

Evaluate client needs and develop initial engineering solutions
Review P&IDs and support final equipment selection
Perform DHAs and PHAs along with other process safety reviews
Prepare and submit required technical documentation and reports
Collaborate with in-house engineers and departments

This role can be tailored to your experience level - you may step in as a Project Manager or report to an existing Project Manager while continuing to grow into an expert and leader within this specialized industry niche. Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering preferred (will consider closely related degrees)
6 years of hands-on industrial process safety experience in manufacturing
Exposure to leading facilitating or participating in dust hazard analyses (DHAs) is REQUIRED
Experience with PHAs PSM engineering consulting risk assessments and understanding of P&IDs NFPA FM and OSHA compliance and codes is all ideal
