Weighmaster
The weighmaster is a customer service-focused role serving as a key point of contact for drivers haulers and homeowners. We are seeking a friendly reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team and provide an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Scale Operations & Data Entry
*Operate scale equipment ensuring accurate entry of all inbound and outbound truck activity into the software system.
*Collect payments as necessary and issue receipts as required.
Documentation & Compliance
*Review provided documentation for accuracy and completeness.
*Confirm solid waste permits and licenses are current and compliant with NJDEP regulations.
*Verify the accuracy of the Origin & Destination (O&D) form for all loads.
Recordkeeping
*Maintain organized and accurate records of scale tickets manifests and related documentation.
Customer Service & Account Management
*Assist customers in person over the phone and via email by answering questions and explaining requirements.
*Create and update customer accounts including contact details and payment information in the software system.
Traffic Flow & Operational Support
*Direct truck traffic to maintain an efficient flow of inbound and outbound vehicles.
*Assist with special projects and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
*Report discrepancies or operational issues promptly to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
*High school diploma or equivalent (required).
*Must be at least 18 years of age.
*1-3 years of experience in administrative clerical accounting or related roles.
Skills & Competencies
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Computer proficiency with a focus on Microsoft Word and Excel.
Licensing
*Must possess or be willing to obtain a New Jersey Weighmasters License.
Pay Range: $20-$25/hour
