Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seekingPharmacistfor an exciting job inFarmingdale NY.

Responsibilities

Accurately prepare dispense and verify prescriptions in line with physician orders and regulatory guidelines.
Review prescriptions for accuracy dosage therapeutic appropriateness and potential drug interactions.
Counsel patients on proper medication use dosage schedules side effects and storage.
Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient therapy.
Monitor patient medication regimens and recommend adjustments in consultation with prescribers.
Maintain complete and accurate patient medication records in electronic health systems.
Compound and prepare customized medications when commercially available products are unsuitable.
Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws regulations and professional standards.
Manage pharmaceutical inventory including ordering receiving and safe storage.
Provide immunizations health screenings and wellness education as permitted by law.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and staff ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
Contribute to quality assurance initiatives medication safety programs and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
Active unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of New York.
Strong knowledge of pharmacology drug therapy and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication problem-solving and patient education skills.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative fast-paced healthcare environment.
