Position Summary
Our client seeking a driven mid-level Industrial Engineer to lead process optimization and lean manufacturing initiatives in our poultry / protein processing this role you will work independently and collaboratively to analyze production systems identify inefficiencies and design solutions that enhance productivity reduce waste and streamline operations across multiple functional areas.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage process optimization / efficiency improvement projects across the plant
Use Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma and other continuous improvement tools to identify design and implement improvements
Perform complex data analyses root cause investigations and cost-benefit evaluations to prioritize initiatives
Redesign existing systems workflows and layout for enhanced throughput reduced downtime and improved quality
Use AutoCAD to draw modify and implement layout/workflow diagrams as required
Oversee and drive efficiency in operations including feed mill hatchery processing wastewater treatment etc.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production Maintenance Quality Safety etc.) to ensure alignment and execution of improvements
Establish monitor and report on metrics / KPIs for production performance resource utilization waste labor standards etc.
Troubleshoot operational issues as they arise propose and execute corrective actions
Qualifications
Mandatory: Minimum 2 years experience working in a poultry or protein processing plant in an Industrial Engineering / Process Engineering role
Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred)
Total relevant experience: 3-5 years (or more)
Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma (or similar) methodologies
Strong skills in process optimization and continuous improvement tools
Proficiency in AutoCAD for designing / redesigning layouts and workflows
Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong collaboration communication and teamwork abilities
Experience working in operations environments (processing plant feed mill hatchery wastewater treatment)
Ability to handle complex analyses and work independently
