Job Summary

Job Title: DB2 Performance & Licensing Analyst

Project Scope & Objectives:
We are seeking a DB2 expert to lead performance testing and licensing analysis for two DB2 editions-Standard (non-sharded) and Advanced (sharded). The goal is to determine if the Standard Edition meets performance needs and offers cost advantages over the Advanced Edition.

Responsibilities:

Set up and configure test environments for DB2 Standard and Advanced Editions.
Conduct performance benchmarking and stress testing across both setups.
Analyze licensing models and cost implications for each edition.
Provide recommendations based on performance and cost trade-offs.
Work closely with migration specialists to align testing outcomes with migration strategy.

Requirements:

Deep knowledge of DB2 architecture editions and licensing.
Experience in performance testing and benchmarking DB2 databases.
Ability to interpret licensing terms and model cost scenarios.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Experience working in enterprise environments with complex DB setups.
