Cardiovascular Invasive (Permanent Role) Location: Fort Worth TX 76104
Shift: 10-hr Days 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Job Summary: The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist works under general supervision to assist physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures. This role involves preparing procedure rooms and equipment instructing and monitoring patients and providing both routine and emergency care throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.
The specialist also contributes to staff training orientation and ongoing quality control initiatives including audits and compliance reporting.
Responsibilities: - Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology (EP) procedures.
- Prepare and maintain all necessary equipment and supplies for procedures.
- Monitor and document patient vitals and procedural information in real-time.
- Provide emergency support during critical patient situations.
- Support daily monthly and quarterly QA/QC protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training orientation of new staff and performance evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Required Qualifications: Education:
- Associates Degree or graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) program required.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience required.
- Electrophysiology (EP) experience highly preferred.
Certifications/Licensure: Must hold one or more of the following:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) AND Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) through the Texas
OR - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
OR - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
OR - Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS)
OR - Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS)
AND:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 30 days of hire/transfer
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 30 days of hire/transfer
