Job Summary

Registered Nurse-Emergency Department (Day Shift)
Location: Cambridge MA 02138
Shift: 12-hr Rotating
Duration: 13-weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $2448 - $2628; (Negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department in accordance with established policies procedures and protocols.
  • Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions reporting changes to the appropriate medical staff.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and smooth transitions.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations using sound clinical judgment.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions treatment plans and follow-up care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or Telemetry experience
    • Previous travel nurse experience preferred
  • Certifications:
    • Active Massachusetts RN License (unencumbered)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Required
