Registered Nurse-Emergency Department (Day Shift) Location: Cambridge MA 02138
Shift: 12-hr Rotating
Duration: 13-weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $2448 - $2628; (Negotiable based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department in accordance with established policies procedures and protocols.
- Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions reporting changes to the appropriate medical staff.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and smooth transitions.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations using sound clinical judgment.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions treatment plans and follow-up care.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or Telemetry experience
- Previous travel nurse experience preferred
- Certifications:
- Active Massachusetts RN License (unencumbered)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Required
