Job Description
- The Microbiologist/Molecular Biologist will support research and development initiatives by performing microbial analysis across various client Crop Science projects.
- This role will contribute to method development execute laboratory assays and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure high-quality data generation and reporting.
- Conduct microbiological analyses on a variety of microbial species to support internal research studies.
- Develop and refine protocols for Colony Forming Unit (CFU) quantitation and other microbiological techniques.
- Perform viability and stability assays following established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Process diverse sample types for microbial recovery and cultivation across multiple media types.
- Prepare analyze and communicate experimental data and findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Operate troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in general lab upkeep including supply inventory equipment calibration and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within client as well as with external partners as needed.
- Bachelor s or master s degree in Microbiology Molecular Biology or a related field.
- Experience with microbial culturing aseptic techniques and microbial quantification methods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols accurately.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal for reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
