Location: La Pine Bend Redmond Prineville
Compensation: $25.66/hour (plus .50 for Bilingual Spanish)
Hours: Considered On-Call hours not guaranteed opportunity to be up to 40 hours/week for a limited duration

NeighborImpacts Head Start program Overview
NeighborImpact Head Start is a comprehensive early education program serving children and families in Central Oregon. It integrates high-quality pre-kindergarten education with essential services such as health nutrition and family advocacy. Operating across multiple sites NeighborImpact Head Start supports social competence school readiness and overall well-being of children from ages three to five.
Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:
This role is a substitute position and supports the teaching team to enhance students learning and development. Under the guidance of the Teacher Advocate this role involves creating a safe and engaging classroom environment. The Substitute Assistant Teacher leads the classroom during the Teachers breaks or absences and plans and conducts various gross motor and small group activities daily. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. This role is ideal for those passionate about education and child development looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school setting.
Required:
-Associate or baccalaureate degree with a minimum of 12 ECE credits or equivalent
-OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential which is equivalent to Step 7 on the Oregon Registry-OR Current enrollment in a program leading to an associate or baccalaureate degree in ECE or equivalent-OR Current enrollment in a child development associate credential (CDA) program to be completed within 2 years AND High school diploma or GED-Food Handlers Card
-Current enrollment in the OR Child Care Division-Criminal History Registry (CBR)
-Within 60 days of hire Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification
