Job Summary
Are you a detail-driven finance professional with a passion for accuracy compliance and business partneringHuon is seeking a Financial Accountant to support our financial and management accounting functions ensuring timely reporting system integrity and strong cross-functional relationships. This full-time role is based in our central Hobart office with occasional travel to other sites as required.
The Role
As the Financial Accountant youll play a key role in:
- Managing daily financial activities including cash flow analysis payment processing and maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring the integrity of the General Ledger through reconciliations and continuous improvement
- Supporting month-end processes to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting
- Collaborating with JBS and internal stakeholders to maintain fixed asset and lease registers
- Assisting with payment runs forecasts and inventory monitoring
- Preparing tax information including FBT BAS and inventory-related tax effect values
- Leading month-end stocktake activities in partnership with Operations
- Contributing to annual financial audits and ensuring effective financial controls
- Delivering relevant financial reporting as requested
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Accounting or similar with 5 years of relevant experience
- CPA/CA qualified or working towards completion
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong understanding of financial systems
- High attention to detail accuracy and resilience under pressure
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
