Job Summary
Nevell Group is seeking a highly experienced and detail-orientedSenior Estimatorto join our preconstruction team. The Senior Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the cost of large-scale commercial wall system projects by analyzing drawings specifications and other documentation. This role plays a critical part in securing new work and supporting NGis continued growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed estimates for commercial wall system projects (interior/exterior).
- Review project plans specifications and contract documents to determine scope and requirements.
- Develop quantity take-offs pricing strategies and bid proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers architects engineers and clients during preconstruction phases.
- Analyze historical cost data and market trends to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
- Manage bid schedules and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
- Identify risks value engineering opportunities and constructability issues.
- Mentor and support junior estimators as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial construction estimating preferably in wall systems (drywall framing plaster etc.).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and industry practices.
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g. On-Screen Takeoff Bluebeam OST or similar).
- Excellent mathematical analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or a related field preferred.
