Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Travel Position
Location: Westminster CO
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8s Days
Pay: $2045/week
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a facility in Westminster CO on a travel contract. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients recovering from illness injury or surgery focusing on improving independence in daily living skills functional mobility and overall quality of life. The ideal candidate is patient-focused adaptable and experienced in rehabilitation care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients functional abilities and therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including ADL retraining mobility training coordination and strengthening exercises.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals adaptive techniques and home programs.
- Document evaluations treatment sessions and progress notes accurately and in compliance with facility standards.
- Collaborate with nursing physical therapy and speech therapy staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Promote safety independence and recovery through evidence-based occupational therapy practices.
Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Colorado (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience in a rehabilitation setting.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong assessment organizational and communication skills.
- Compassionate approach with experience supporting diverse patient populations.
