About the Position:
We are presently seeking a Field Tester B-Electric for an opening in our Watertown addition to a starting wage of $38.43 per hour we offer excellent benefits including medical dental life insurance 401(k) plan vacation tuition assistance and more.
Under direct supervision to assist Field Testers of a higher classification. Under general supervision as proficiency increases to perform such duties as: install and remove survey recorders on single phase and network installations; and read associated meters. Tasks within this series will be assigned based on level of training and proficiency.
Job Qualifications:
- Must have an AAS degree in Electrical Technology from an accredited school or equivalent training program.
- Must pass validated aptitude test.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid drivers license
NOTE:
- Upon satisfactory completion of 12 months as a Field Tester B and demonstrated proficiency as a Field Tester B-Electric the employee will be promoted to a Field Tester C - (Electric).
- The progression from Field Tester C (Electric) to Field Tester D (Electric) will occur over an 18 month period. To qualify for automatic progression to the D level the employee will be required to have satisfactorily demonstrated proficiency in field testing in the electric discipline during the eighteen months as a Field Tester C (Electric).
Salary:
Many of the terms and conditions of employment for this position are defined by a collective bargaining agreement that the Company has with a local union. Newly hired employees are bound by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement as well as other agreements between the Company and the local union.
