Good Hope Animal Hospital is looking to add a full-time or part-time compassionate and skilled veterinarian to our team. We are open Monday through Friday with half day Saturdays and no on-call.

Good Hope Animal Hospital is in Mechanicsburg PA and proudly serves pets in the south-central Pennsylvania area. This area of Pennsylvania is located within 2 hours of Philadelphia and Baltimore and NYC is close enough for a day trip! Hershey with its amusement park and concert venues is less than 30 minutes from our front door. The beautiful farmland and Appalachian Mountains provide plenty of activities like hiking boating on the local waterways and concerts.

We provide high-quality medical care to canine feline and pocket pet family members. We are proud of our emphasis on preventative care client education and our thorough and collaborative approach to our medical and surgical cases. We are a 6-doctor hospital that occupies a state-of-the-art facility providing our patients and clients with optimum medical care and customer service. We are proud of our positive culture and cohesive team. Our well-trained technical staff allows us to maximize our efficiency and patient care which allows our veterinarians to focus on providing high quality medicine and surgical care. If you have a special clinical interest we will give you the support and resources to develop your own niche. Our mission is to partner with our clients to nurture and preserve the human-animal bond by providing compassionate expert veterinary care throughout a long and healthy life.
Good Hope is fully equipped with IDEXX in-house lab digital radiography and dental radiography. Our radiographs are reviewed by SignalPET with full radiology consults surgery we have a CO2 cutting laser. We have separate surgical and dental suites and patients are monitored by a technician along with anesthetic monitoring including blood pressure ECG SPO2 and end tidal CO2.

WHAT YOULL DO
Perform wellness and preventative care visits with a focus on client education
Perform sick patient visits where you will devise diagnostic and treatment plans
Maintain your continuing education to stay current with advances in veterinary medicine
Foster any special interests you may have (We will support you!)
Perform surgical and dental procedures (But we are okay if you only want to focus on medicine!)

REQUIREMENTS
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
2 years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a hospital setting is preferred
Ability to attain PA Veterinary License
