This is an onsite position with frequent travel required to support testing training and global airlift missions.
Job Overview
The Flight Logistics Specialist is a highly skilled professional responsible for the execution and oversightof cargo preparation coordination and aircraft loading operations in support of U.S. military and
government airlift missions. This role demands knowledge of military logistics compliance withregulations and the ability to perform Joint Inspections (JI) without oversight. The position requires an
experienced operator who can immediately step into mission-critical responsibilities and ensure flawlessexecution under dynamic and high-pressure conditions.
Essential Functions
Lead and oversee loading/unloading of aircraft applying expert knowledge of 463L palletsrestraint systems and multiple aircraft configurations.
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment with proficiency to ensure safe and timelymovement of cargo.
Perform and facilitate Joint Inspections (JI) ensuring all cargo meets airworthiness standardsprior to mission departure.
Complete and review critical mission documentation including DD Form 2775 DD Form 1149and DD Form 2133..
Maintain and control inventory of cargo preparation materials (463L pallets nets strapsdunnage covers).
Provide direct guidance to Material Handlers in all aspects of cargo preparation documentationand compliance to ensure accuracy and performance per regulations.
Work directly with government Points of Contact (POCs) for planning and coordination of airliftmissions as well as receipt of sensitive government materials.
Maintain professional relations with base agencies and military partners serving as thecompanys subject-matter expert during airlift operations.
Escort and manage deliveries onto the flight line ensuring compliance with base access protocolsand operational security.
Handle hazardous cargo in accordance with IATA 49 CFR AFMAN 24-604 and DoDrequirements.
Support irregular mission schedules including nights weekends and OCONUS operations asrequired.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies
Demonstrated expertise in military airlift operations and flight line cargo handling.
Proven ability to facilitate Joint Inspections (JI).
Expert knowledge of multiple aircraft types and loading configurations.
Advanced proficiency in completing mission-critical documentation (DD Formsand2133).
Ability to direct train and oversee Material Handlers to ensure compliance with regulations andmission requirements.
Proven ability to maintain inventory records and manage preparation equipment.
Familiar with hazardous cargo handling.
Strong leadership decision-making and communication skills.
Must maintain professional base relations and act as liaison with government and military POCs.
Must be eligible for base access and able to escort deliveries on the flight line.
Must be able to obtain a passport and be willing to travel OCONUS to support missionrequirements.
Education / Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
Military or vocational training in logistics or air transportation strongly preferred.
Experience
Minimum 4 years of direct experience in military/government flight line operations airliftpreparation and cargo handling.
Demonstrated experience with 463L pallet systems and restraint requirements.
Prior experience facilitating Joint Inspections (JI) to military standards.
Experience providing direction and oversight to Material Handlers or logistics staff.
Experience working directly with government POCs and coordinating with base agencies.
Previous OCONUS deployment or global logistics support experience strongly preferred.

Security Clearance
Ability to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret DoD clearance U.S. Citizenship required.
