Under supervision and direction performs the turf ornamental maintenance grounds parking lot driveway and sidewalk maintenance including mowing fertilizing trimming irrigation snow/ice/sleet removal asphalt patching and overall grounds-keeping of all the UnityPoint Health Des Moines properties.

On a daily basis maintains the main entrances grounds parking lots driveways and sidewalks in good repair and clean of trash and debris to achieve specific quality safety service and regulatory goals.

Observes and practices safety regulations and procedures including but not limited to OSHA and DNV in the care and use of equipment and tools.

Removes snow ice and/or sleet from UnityPoint Health - Des Moines parking lots driveways and sidewalks utilizing sand and/or salt to achieve specific quality safety service and regulatory goals.

Airify spray fertilize mow and trim turf for all UnityPoint Health Des Moines properties to achieve specific quality safety service and regulatory goals.

Plants maintains and prunes trees shrubbery and flowering plants for all the UnityPoint Health Des Moines properties.

Operates and repairs irrigation systems and fountains for all the Unity Point-DM properties.

Attends Iowa State Turf Conference and Iowa State Shade Tree short courses to maintain CEU as scheduled by manager.

Education:High school diploma or equivalent preferred or two Years of experience.

Must eighteen (18) years of age or older

Must have valid Drivers License
