The Team and the opportunity

The organisation is currently undertaking a major business transformation programme supported by the implementation of a unified finance solution. This initiative will consolidate four existing finance systems into a single platform designed to accommodate future growth and align with a new finance operating model.

Reporting to the Finance Manager Treasury the individual will play a critical role in assisting the establishment and day to day operations of a newly centralised Treasury Department. This position combines support to the Finance Manager in setting up the department with the responsibility of executing day-to-day treasury operations.

Your key responsibilities

  • Perform bank reconciliations for a variety of accounts.
  • Monitor and manage unresolved transactions within suspense accounts.
  • Investigate bounced payments and unreconciled transactions ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Assist with the management of the user profiles on the banking portal including onboarding of new personnel modifying permissions and disabling profiles.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting estimating the inflows and outflows of cash to assist with financial planning and aid decision making.
  • Open close and manage bank accounts savings accounts credit cards and direct debits.
  • Assist in management of expired mandates ensuring deletion or renewal as appropriate.
  • Respond to customer and internal queries providing accurate and timely resolutions.
  • Process daily settlements to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of financial transactions.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Hold a minimum of a NFQ degree level 7 qualification in a finance business or other related discipline.
  • Have at least 3 years relevant experience in the preparation of management accounts reconciliations and annual financial statements.
  • Strong MS Office and MS Excel skills.
  • Have fundamental Management & Delivery skills (Communication Relationship Management Proactivity Decision-Making).
  • Possess fundamental Business skills relating to competencies like Customer Service and Service Partnering.
  • The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
