Job Summary
Woody Buick GMC of Gurnee is seeking experienced ASE Certified Technicians; top performers can expect to earn up $72 per hour or $260000 annually. We are seeking individuals with some to extensive experience and a strong desire to make the money they deserve. We are looking fortechnicians with the ability to diagnose repair and a true understanding of why we do multi-point inspections on vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough multipoint inspections
- Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency in accordance with dealership andGeneral Motors standards
- Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension braking air conditioning etc. to specification
- Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
- Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
Job Requirements:
Technicians (Automotive Mechanic) should be experienced and aware of the current automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. We have determined some factors that may enable your success as an Automotive Technician:
- Minimum of threeyears of experience as a technician (General Motors preferred not required)
- Experience with automatic transmission and diesel is a plus
- Hold a minimum of threeAutomotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications
- Maintain current factory training
- Hold a valid drivers license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Team oriented flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment alignment system diagnostic equipment AC equipment
