The Position:

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Network and Computer Systems Administrator-Journeyman. The salary range of this position is $90000.00 - $135000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Network and Computer Systems Administrator-Journeyman may include:

Installs configures and maintains the organizations local area network (LAN) data communications network operating systems and physical/virtual servers
Performs system monitoring
Verifies the integrity and availability of hardware network and server resources/systems
Reviews system and application logs
Verifies completion of scheduled jobs to include system backups
Analyzes network and server resource consumption
Controls user access
Installs and upgrades software
Maintains software licenses
Assists in network emulation/virtualization analysis planning and coordination between network and data communications hardware/software

Must-haves:

BS Degree OR AS Degree with 2 years of additional work experience (5 years total) OR HS Diploma/Equivalent with 4 years of additional work experience (7 years total) OR Relevant Technical Certification with 4 years of additional work experience (7 years total) OR meets CSWF training requirements OR meets the CSWF certification requirements (CSWF Qualifications: years of relevant work experience
CompTIA Cloud OR CompTIA Security OR GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) OR Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification required
Experience with Windows 11 and Windows Server (current versions)

Experience with Active Directory (AD) DHCP and DNS

Experience with Networking
Experience with Virtual environments
Experience with STIGs
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance-Top Secret Clearance required to start

Desired Skills:

Experience with AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure
Experience with PDQ Deploy
Experience with ACAS
Experience with Python and/or PowerShell

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work in and support various labs at PAX River for a majority of their day. The physical environment also requires the employee to work in an office sitting in a cubicle or at a desk looking at a computer for part of the day.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. On rare occasions overnight travel may be required.
