About the position

A 1-year researcher position is available atthe Department of Molecular Cell Biology Institute for Cancer Research Oslo University Hospital. The position is part of the Extracellular vesicles and Prostate Cancer project group ( date is flexible but preferably as soon as possible.

Brief Description of the project

The objective of the project is to investigate the role of extracellular vesicles in cancer and their potential role as nanocarriers of cancer drugs.
Project activities:

  • Cell line growth and manipulation
  • Isolation and analysis of extracellular vesicles (Nanosight Zetasizer Western blot omics analysis)
  • Cellular and molecular biology methods
  • Advanced light microscopy
  • Bioinformatic and biostatistics analysis

Qualifications

  • PhD in biochemistry cell and molecular biology biotechnology medicine or other related areas
  • Research experience in cellular and molecular biology methods including advanced microscopy and cloning
  • Research experience in extracellular vesicles isolation and analysis (Nanosight Zetasizer molecular analysis including omics)
  • Advanced knowledge about cancer biology
  • Research experience in cancer related methods such as cell migration proliferation and invasion
  • Experience in statistic and bioinformatic analyses

Personal qualifications

  • High capability to design and perform experiments in a creative way
  • Very good organizational skills and high capability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Very good presentation skills and experience in supervision and scientific writing.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
