Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Travel Position
Location: Limon CO
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8s Days
Pay: $2095/week
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a facility in Limon CO on a travel contract. The Occupational Therapist will assess and treat patients recovering from illness injury or surgery focusing on restoring independence in daily living skills mobility and functional performance. The ideal candidate is compassionate adaptable and experienced in rehabilitation or general OT practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations to assess patients functional abilities and therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including ADL retraining coordination strengthening and mobility support.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy objectives safety practices and adaptive strategies.
- Document evaluations treatment sessions and progress accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physical therapy speech therapy and nursing staff to provide comprehensive patient-centered care.
- Promote independence recovery and improved quality of life through evidence-based OT practices.
Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Colorado (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience in a rehabilitation or general practice setting.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong communication assessment and documentation skills.
- Compassionate approach with experience supporting diverse patient populations.
