PURPOSE:
Performs and manages the operation of controlling calibrating and following up instruments and gauges area in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures complying with defined quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Commit with health safety and environmental policies and notify situations that present potential risk.
- Ensure product quality complying with defined standards and reporting deviations.
- Carry out duties in an effective manner meeting productivity and efficiency standards in accordance with minimum costs.
- Perform activities according to applicable procedures.
- Complete and update all applicable records ensuring information accuracy.
- Ensure proper use of the company assets detecting and reporting malfunctioning.
- Attend and collaborate in training activities in order to maintain and increase the company knowledge.
- Proactively suggest improvements and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean and ordered workplace.
- Abide by Tenaris discipline norms.
- Perform activities understanding their consequences on the global process.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
- Ensures instruments and gauges are in good condition checking their expiration date and correct functioning.
- Calibrates instruments verifying their correct functioning and adjusting when required.
- Follows up instruments history and traceability.
- Performs calibration reports notifying accuracy results.
- Repairs instruments when applicable.
- Carries out new instruments reception and control.
- Manages Standards.
- Performs instruments and gauges delivery.
- Coordinates activities with other functions.
- Updates information in the tracking systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum education: High school (SMA/SMK) Diploma (D3) or Bachelors degree (S1) higher education is preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years in the Quality department especially in the Gauge Room or Metrology.
- Skills: Experience using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is a plus.
- Location: Already located in Batam and surrounding areas.
- Training: Specialized training in the use of measuring instruments and measurement techniques.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of measuring tools and measurement techniques.
- Quality standards: Familiarity with quality standards and quality control procedures.
- Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with API 5CT procedures and ISO 17025 is highly desirable
