Job Summary
K8 Math & ELA Tutor
Carlsbad & Oceanside CA After-School Hours
We are seeking a caring and reliable K8 Tutor to provide support in Math and English Language Arts for students in the Carlsbad and Oceanside areas. This is an in-person tutoring role during the after-school window ideally between 35pm.
This is a wonderful opportunity for teachers substitute teachers student teachers and education majors who want flexible hours and the chance to make a meaningful impact outside of the classroom.
What Youll Do
Provide one-on-one tutoring in Math and ELA for students in grades K8
Reinforce classroom concepts and strengthen foundational skills
Adapt instruction to meet each students unique learning style and needs
Encourage student confidence and a positive approach to learning
Communicate progress and strategies with families and our team
What Were Looking For
Strong knowledge of K8 Math and English Language Arts
Tutoring or teaching experience preferred
Patient supportive and encouraging teaching style
Reliable professional and punctual
Must have reliable transportation to travel to student homes in Carlsbad and Oceanside
Availability between 35pm on weekdays preferred
Qualifications
Bachelors degree (or working toward one) in education or related field preferred
Experience tutoring or teaching elementary and middle school students a plus
Strong communication skills with students and parents
