Patient Care Tech I- School Age Med Surg (Day 24)

Shift: Part Time 7am-7:30 pm and every third weekend (24 hours a week)

Clinical Techniciansat The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as contributing members of the healthcare team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.

The Johns Hopkins Hospital-Bloomberg 10 Southis a general care pediatric medical/surgical unit that cares for patients ranging in age from 5-13 medical patients on the unit may have such diagnoses as: asthma cystic fibrosis diabetes renal failure and surgical patients are a variety of different services including: Orthopedics ENT General Pediatric Surgery Genitourinary Surgery Neurosurgery and Plastic unit is also the Pediatric Burn Unit for the victims from infancy through the age of 14 are admitted to the unit includes four beds designated as the Pediatric EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit).

Licensure/Certifications:

• Nursing Assistant Certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing required.
• Current CPR certification

Salary Range: Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
