Senior Software Engineer II - Backend Flywheel - (Home/Flex/Office)

The Flywheel Product Team is responsible for spinning HubSpots enterprise Flywheel faster. As HubSpot scales we need to leverage that momentum to deliver a remarkable customer experience. The success of our team is defined by creating systems that enable HubSpots hyper-scale and break linear revenue growth. We build for HubSpots front line reps ops teams and partners so they can perform their best work and continue to generate continuous value for customers at scale.

Our team supports the Hubspot Flywheel by building tools on the Hubspot platform focused on attracting and engaging with potential HubSpot customers. This can range from data management architecture systems that route leads to the right sales rep at the right time and tools and user experiences that ensure our sales reps can do their jobs effectively. By joining our team youll get exposed to a wide variety of technologies teams and problem spaces within HubSpot.

As a Sr Software Engineer on the Flywheel team you will:

Write and ship production code that has a meaningful user and business impact
Envision build and analyze new features and tools each contributing to company growth and revenue
Work with a small cross functional team of engineers PMs designers content designers and researchers
Collaborate with HubSpotters all over the company whether in engineering product design research marketing sales etc
Help HubSpot users meet their goals via changes youve made
Implement experiments that give us valuable insights into user behaviour and how to improve their experience
Get exposure to how HubSpot works as a business

You may be a fit if:

You have backend development experience. We work with Java MySQL AWS DropWizard Kafka and Kubernetes primarily and a strong interest in writing code in Java ecosystem would be ideal.
You have a strong focus on the user. You can gain empathy for their challenges and understand how they may flow through our product.
You not only get excited about big technical challenges but also about being very close to the business and our go-to-market strategies
