A reputable healthcare organization seeks a Senior Director of Finance & Accounting to join their dynamic tea. This position is responsible for direct supervision and management of the finance and accounting activities of multi-entity organizations and the agencies it supports. They include month-end close and financial reporting GL system maintenance cash management & banking accounts payable capital expenditures payroll processing billing & collections AND financial planning & analysis. This position reports directly to the CEO-CFO.
Responsibilities:
More efficient and timely month-end close process using process improvements automation integration and ERP system (Sage-Intacct).
Provide timely financial reports dashboards P&L Balance Sheet Cash Flow Statement metrics branch financials and program financials.
Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit regarding profitability cost savings and results of projects and initiatives.
Margin management and cost savings and elimination of duplicative costs and deliver cost savings.
External regulatory reporting.
Develop finance team members and design an optimum finance organization and size; cross-training coverage retention and succession planning.
Internal control and safeguarding of assets and cash data systems and tools. Assist in risk management initiatives and determine appropriate insurance policies.
Develop and maintain up to date financial and operational processes and procedures and their documentation and organizational compliance.
Lead taxation tax planning and annual audits.
Participate in strategic business planning and lead the annual budget preparation.
Financial analysis versus prior year and budget/targets. Prepare rolling estimates and forecasts.
Ad hoc analyses and projects assigned by the supervisor.
- Provide strong leadership to:
- Corporate Accounting and Treasury Manager
- Billing Team service hours and reimbursements with regional centers A/R aging & collections
- Payroll Team semi-monthly runs for thousands of employees
- Liaison and collaboration with other department heads involving financial transactions finance and operational metrics and analyses.
- Financial planning analysis budgeting and forecasting (as individual contributor and supervisor to the functions above.
- Purchasing & Procurement office equipment supplies events supplies and Accounts Payable
- Capital Projects
Qualifications:
- A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA preferred. CPA not required but preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years with progression to finance leadership.
