Occupational Therapist (Rehabilitation) Travel Position
Location: Craig CO
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x7s Days
Pay: $2055/week
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a rehabilitation setting in Craig CO on a travel contract. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients recovering from illness surgery or injury with the goal of restoring independence in daily living skills mobility and functional activities. The ideal candidate is compassionate adaptable and experienced in rehabilitation care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients functional abilities cognitive skills and therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including ADL retraining upper extremity strengthening mobility exercises and adaptive techniques.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals safety strategies and use of assistive equipment.
- Document evaluations treatment sessions and progress notes accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physical therapy speech therapy and nursing staff to ensure patient-centered coordinated care.
- Support patient independence and recovery through evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Colorado (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience in rehabilitation settings.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong communication assessment and organizational skills.
- Compassionate approach with experience supporting diverse patient populations.
