Maintenance Shift ElectricianLocation: Wigton (rural)Hours: Rotating shifts (early/late shift pattern)Salary: Dependent on experienceWe are supporting a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Maintenance Shift Electrician. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to play a key role in maintaining and improving production equipment ensuring efficiency safety and minimal downtime.You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance support installation projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key responsibilities:- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and effectively
- Undertake installation work and modifications to existing systems
- Perform portable appliance testing (PAT) in line with regulations
- Assist with PLC and control systems
- Keep accurate maintenance records and reports
- Work collaboratively as part of the maintenance team to ensure smooth production operations
- Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Skills:- Qualified to O.N.C Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of PLC and control systems
- Strong skills in fault finding installation work and preventative maintenance
- Experience of PAT testing
- A proactive team player with strong communication skills
- Flexible safety-concious and able to work under pressure
- Full UK driving licence preferred
