Position Summary
Bow Valley College is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Prospective Student Representative to join our this key role you will engage with domestic prospective students through various channels including phone email walk-ins and social media to provide timely accurate and helpful information about the benefits of a Bow Valley College education. Your primary responsibility will be to advise students on career and program pathways admissions procedures funding options and student services to ensure they make informed decisions. You will be knowledgeable about all College programsincluding post-secondary foundational Dual Credit Open Studies and Extended Educationand communicate this information clearly to a diverse and multicultural student population.
In addition to advising (which comprises approximately 70% of your time) you will support recruitment efforts by assisting with events such as Open House Preview Night Transfer Credit Fair and campus tours to help raise awareness of the Welcome Centre and Bow Valley College. You will also collaborate with the Digital & Web Team to maintain and improve web content and marketing materials and manage data entry for the Welcome Centres CRM and other platforms.
The remaining 10% of your role will focus on problem-solving and resolving inquiries related to college policies and services liaising with relevant departments as needed and tracking daily activity metrics to support continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will hold a diploma and have at least one year of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills previous recruitment or advising experience and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office are preferred. If your education was received internationally we will require you provide an international education assessment through IQAS WES or one of the other nationally designated organizations upon hire.

This opening is a continuous (AUPE) position and is part-time (approximately 18 hours per week).The Centre is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and staff may be scheduled on a rotational basis to cover afternoon and evening addition this role may occasionally support weekend events. Please note all successful candidates will be required to provide copies of government issued identification and proof of educational qualifications upon hire and may be required to provide an enhanced police information check.
